Welcome to Frazer’s weekly feature called the Breaking Good News! Here you’ll find how your tithing and service is touching and changing lives everyday through our ministries and programs.
Children’s Ministry
What a great time we had lifting up Jesus during Sunday morning worship in Wesley Hall in our “Kids Take Over Service”! The children handed out bulletins, served as greeters and did the morning announcements and prayer from center stage. They sang songs, threw beach balls, and praised God before Teaching Pastor Patrick Quinn’s message. We pray all of the children who attended Vacation Bible School will continue to keep the truths they learned this summer hidden in their hearts and have a strong commitment to stay on track with Jesus, our Ultimate Guide!
We have one more Sunday left before we promote to our new grade levels August 2nd. Please be sure to tell your Sunday School teachers how much you love and appreciate them this Sunday!
Nursery
During the week of VBS, Frazer’s loving nursery workers cared for the youngest of all—birth to 3 years old, so their moms could volunteer! While these children aren’t old enough to participate in vacation bible school, the nursery workers made sure they had an exiting and meaningful week. Every morning the 2 and 3 years old enjoyed their own little worship time with Dwain Ellis. Mr. Ellis shared lessons on Jesus and led the children in worship Then the children settled in for snacks, crafts and playground time. On Friday, the 2 and 3 year olds even went into Wesley Hall for the big VBS finale worship session—they loved it! we took the 2 and 3 years old to the assembly in Wesley Hall.
The infants -to- 23 months had fun playing in the rooms and going for rides in the bye-bye buggies. It won’t be long before these little ones are fully involved in Frazer’s VBS!
Frazer’s ONEfamily
Frazer’s ONEfamily ministry had the opportunity to host 12 orphans from the Ukraine through the organization Grace to Ukraine. The children enjoyed a pizza dinner as well as time in the game room and gym while interacting with Frazer members. One of the most memorable parts of the night was the blessing, which was done in English by Jeff VanGilder and translated into Russian by a translator. ONEfamily is so happy to have been able to have been a part of such a wonderful evening.
Men’s Life—Fishing Mission
Many children and youth in our area braved the heat and enjoyed another great outing with Frazer’s Fishing Mission. Henry Tellis is mentoring these young people and always makes sure they get some time with Frazer’s Men’s Life and the many volunteers who take time to cast a line and share the love of Jesus. The last Fishing Mission of the year will be September 12th with the Linden, Alabama high school football team, coach and principal.
CRAVE Youth Ministry
It was a packed house Sunday after morning worship, as more than 90 rising 6th graders and their families joined the Crave staff for lunch. After dining on a delicious taco bar, the new Crave members were introduced to the Crave staff and played a little “get to know us” game. Youth Minister Chase Faulk, Brittany Finch and Bryan Levangie gave an overview of the ministry and the different events and opportunities to make the transition smooth for the students and parents. The students will be promoted in August and join the Crave family. Welcome to Crave rising sixth graders….we are glad you are here!
