Welcome to Frazer’s weekly feature called the Breaking Good News! Here you’ll find how your tithing and service is touching and changing lives everyday through our ministries and programs.
Children’s Ministry – VBS!
Hundreds of children experienced an amazing “Journey Off The Map” at Frazer UMC’s Vacation Bible School. Each day started with a meaningful and fun-filled Worship Rally. From a pink gorilla swinging on a rope or riding a bike for two to Dr. Tim Thompson surprising the crowd with a wheelie on a 4 wheeler, the theatrics were topped only by the chorus of children’s voices singing praises to our Lord. The week closed out with special guest, comedic entertainer Mark Lippard entertaining the children. Mark amazed the crowd, juggling fire and walking on stilts! Thanks to the 112 adult volunteers and 85 youth who made this week amazing for more than 800 children! This Sunday, July 19th, we will have “Kids Take Over” in Wesley Hall at 9:30 & 11:00am where the service will be kid lead. So parents be sure to get your children to church Sunday and join in some of the fun and worship they experienced during VBS 2015!
CRAVE Youth Ministry
Welcome to Crave! The Crave staff hosted a pizza and slip & slide party for Frazer’s rising 6th graders. This was the perfect opportunity for the staff to get to know the newest members of the Crave family and welcome them into the ministry.
Frazer’s youth always enjoy welcoming visitors to their times of fellowship and worship. Gabby is new to Montgomery and visited Blitz for the first time. Her family is military and looking for a church home. Welcome to CRAVE Gabby, we are glad you are here!
With CRAVE running on all cylinders—ministering to youth during these free summer days and nights—it’s a perfect time for a little extra attention from the boss! Frazer’s senior pastor, Dr. Tim Thompson treated the CRAVE staff to lunch at Arrowhead Country Club. Dr. Tim is taking different departments out to show his appreciation for our ministries. The crew said it’s nice to be appreciated by the boss and to have a little one on one time!
Outreach and Connect Ministry
Frazer senior pastor Tim Thompson and his wife, Virginia welcomed 40 people into their home Sunday afternoon, July 12th. These newest members of Frazer just completed the Connect Classes in May and June. The new members had the opportunity to get to know some of our staff better, and to hear from Tim and teaching pastor, Patrick Quinn about their desire to see each of these new members get plugged in and become a part of the Frazer Family. These quarterly dinners are one way our new members get to experience our large church with a small church feel!
S.P.I.R.I.T.-Older Adult Ministry
Frazer’s SPIRIT ministry for older adults had another entertaining time of fellowship on one of their recent Spirit Nights. The Proclaimers Quartet performed, sharing their unique bond and blending of voices. Frazer member Lee Werling captured some photos of the entertainment and fellowship. Thanks Lee!
