Simply Home with God

READ: Luke 12:33-34, The Message
Think of your favorite place to be. It could either be your home, someone else’s home, a park, the beach, the lake, or a favorite vacation destination. What makes that place so special for you? Most likely it has a meaningful, significant attachment that brings fond memories from the past right into the present. This place is where you find rest, comfort, peace, and strength. It is a place to unwind and let go. In other words, you are simply home. In a more profound way, however, God desires to see us simply at home with Him. When we can let go of all the possessions, distractions, and temptations we see God more clearly. We see life more clearly. We are simply home, right where we want to be. What possession, distraction, or temptation do you need to rid yourself of today in order to be simply home with God?
