Welcome to Frazer’s weekly feature called the Breaking Good News! Here you’ll find how your tithing and service is touching and changing lives everyday through our ministries and programs.
Senior Sunday—CRAVE Youth Ministry
Frazer’s Youth Ministry, CRAVE, honored the senior class this month, starting with a special Friday night dinner for the seniors and their guests. Jeremy Goddard, along with others from the Frazer college ministry, spoke to the class about what to look forward to in the next couple years. Sunday morning, the seniors were recognized in both the Sanctuary and Wesley Hall. Families set up tables in the atrium highlighting the student’s many accomplishments. It was a very special weekend celebrating a very special group of students.
SPIRIT Ministry hits the Road!
Frazer UMC’s Spirit Ministry is on a road trip to New Orleans. A large group boarded a bus driven by Frazer’s own Rusty Taylor and headed out for a weekend of tours, fun, fellowship and lots of great food! Their trip includes a tour of the city and visits to the Mardi Gras Museum and the World War II Museum, among other exciting stops. Close to 50 people are enjoying this time away, as they also remember and honor our many military men and women who paid the ultimate price for our way of life.
Frazer Singles Beach Retreat
Close to 70 people in Frazer’s Singles Ministry made a beach trip recently for a time of spiritual refreshment and renewal. This is a 30 year tradition for the Singles ministry and they say each year, they get even more energized for the next! Frazer’s own Director of Media Ministries Kim Hendrix served as the speaker, while Frazer Praise Team member Misty Trussell led the group in song and worship. Many of those attending said they could feel the Lord moving in their lives and showering the group with love, healing and refreshment. Many thanks to Charles and Elizabeth Wise and Virginia and Bill Holmes for their work behind the scenes in making this retreat a huge success!
Frazer Music Ministry—A New Song
With music, prayer and scripture, the Frazer Family was called to pray for revival—in our hearts individually, for our church, city, state and nation! Many people engaged in daily prayer for this event, beginning May 7th, on the National Day of Prayer, and culminating in this powerful time of worship and song. The hope is that each of us will continue to pray for God to move in a mighty way, setting the Christian faith afire for the Glory of His kingdom!
Children’s Music Ministry
Frazer’s Cherub Choir took their joyful spirt and sound to a local assisted living home. As you can imagine, just seeing and hearing these smiling faces, brightened the day for residents of Wesley Gardens. The Children’s music ministry regularly visits nursing and assisted living homes to share the love of the Lord!
Special Moments in the life of our Frazer Family
Kathy Boyd in Frazer’s Youth office shares this good news:
“Congrats to our favorite IT guy on graduating from Troy University! Way to go Keith Williams—your Frazer family is proud of you! Oh, the cute blonde with him in the pic? That would be my daughter, Kaitlyn! Proud of these two!”
The Frazer Family has a strong group of running enthusiasts that continue to win awards and record personal bests every time they lace up the running shoes and enter a race. The most recent run in the capital city, the Jubilee Run, featured some of Frazer’s finest!
