I witnessed a beautiful scene one day as a young mom was dropping her daughter off at pre-school. The mom was squatted down at eye level and she had both hands on the sides of the little girl’s face. At first glance, you might think the little girl was in trouble. But, both of their faces had a radiant glow about them. I heard the mom say, “You are the most precious thing in the world to me. I love you more than you know.” This little girl’s face lit up and she said, “No, mama. I love you more.” In that moment of sharing, there was such an amazing glow. There was nothing but pure joy. The extravagant sharing of love will do that to you. I hope at the end of every day, you will have emptied yourself out of your love quotient. Give it all away. Never be stingy in the words of love and in the deeds of love. If you are searching for the best in life and life’s deep meaning and purpose, you will find it when you love others and love God with the same extravagant love with which God loves you.
