Have you ever stopped to think how powerful air is? Air is what makes it possible for planes to fly at 30,000 feet. Air and pressurized balance tanks enables submarines to travel to great depths and pop back to the surface. Air can create horrible devastation in the winds of tornadoes and hurricanes. When air gets compressed, it causes trains to come to a stop. Air is powerful and keeps you and me alive. For the most part we don’t give much thought to air, unless you start struggling to breathe. You can’t smell, see, touch, or taste it, but you can’t live without it. The point is, just because something is invisible does not mean it is not real The Bible talks about the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is the very breath of God. In the Bible both the ancient Hebrew and Greek word for spirit is air. So the Holy Spirit is the air, the very breath of God. The Holy Spirit is invisible, but just because you can’t see the Spirit of God doesn’t mean He is not real and powerful. The Holy Spirit is the air of God, the very breath of God with you every single day. So the next time you are feeling alone or feeling frightened or wondering where God is, stop, take a deep breath; breathe in the air. You are never alone.
