Have you ever felt like you were at the end of your rope? You have done everything you know to do, but still you don’t seem to be getting anywhere. You are beginning to lose hope. Today, remember that when you get to the end of your rope, God has hold of the other end and He will not let you go. I buried a wonderful man a few years back. He died way too young at 49. He had a beautiful family and all were committed Christians, but it was a rough time. There was the coolest thing though. When you walked into their house, on every wall in every room, his children and his wife had put a handmade poster board. On it was a Bible verse from Isaiah 41:10, which said, “Fear not for I am with you. Be not afraid for I am your God and I will strengthen you and help you and hold you up in my victorious right hand.” The family said it was their favorite verse, and it was what kept them going when they thought they couldn’t go on. They were reminded that their hope was in God. No matter what, we are in His hands, and if you are in His hands it is going to be okay. God is not a God of defeat but a God of victory. The psalmist said when you find yourself in a ditch thinking there is no way out, all is lost, you are at the end of your rope, and you are depressed and discouraged, put your hope in God. When you do that, you will know you are going to be okay.
