Recently the cable network CSPAN had Brad and Dallas Woodhouse on the air arguing with one another. They are two political pundits who happen to be brothers but are on opposite sides of the political fence. They were really going at each other. Unscripted and unplanned, a woman called in to the program who turned out to be Joy Woodhouse, the two men’s mother. You could see their shocked faces, as she proceeded to chew her sons out and warned them to get the fighting out of their system before they came home for Christmas. As you celebrate during this Christmas and holiday season, maybe something is broken between you and someone else. Maybe you are mad at somebody. Maybe you are fighting with somebody. Remember this. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He is the One who reconciles all that is broken in the world. If we follow Him and just do what He asks us to do and invite Him to be the Prince of Peace in our life, it is absolutely certain that we would have more peace in all of our relationships. And remember, Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” which simply means that the people who experience the greatest blessings of their life are people who are at peace with Jesus and at peace with others.
