After the shepherds heard the announcement of the birth of Jesus, they went to Bethlehem where they saw Jesus. Next, Luke 2:17 says they went and told everyone what they had seen and experienced. Once they experienced the glory of God they went and shared that glory with others. The shepherds were still shepherds, but they went back to their jobs with a new heart and purpose. They went back glorifying and praising God. They became the first evangelists. They went back living in such a way that the glory of God reflected through them onto others. So, every time you are in conflict with somebody and seek reconciliation, the glory of the Lord will be shining all around you. Every time you have a little money and decide to give sacrificially to someone who is hungry, homeless, poor, or to the mission of God through His church, the glory of God is shining all around you. Every time a workaholic parent stops idolizing their job, and begins to lovingly care for their children or family, the glory of God is shining all around them. Every time you love, include, encourage, challenge or serve someone, the glory of God is shining all around you. And when the glory of God is shining through you, others will see the Lord’s glory. Let His glory shine through you today.
