I remember when bottled water was the “new” thing on the market. How I wish I had invested in a bottled water company! Everyone all of a sudden needed “pure” drinking water. Water from the tap was no longer good enough. It must be filtered (pure) in order to be acceptable. Water must be crystal clear!! In the same way, and even more so, it is important for our hearts, minds, and souls to be purged, filtered, and made pure. It is a must if we hope to get close to the heart of God. We have to guard out hearts and pay very close attention to what we allow access to our inner being. We cannot do this apart from God. So where do we begin as we seek a “crystal clear heart?” Jesus had some very poignant words to help us along our way, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” Begin your day seeking God and fill your day up with the things of God so that in that way you will have no room for anything else that would harm you from the inside out.
