Our grandson Hayden turned six in July. We had a bowling party for in celebration of his birthday. There were about a dozen people there including CJ, a new friend Hayden has just made in our neighborhood. CJ came to the birthday party with her mother. CJ is five years old and had never been bowling before. She had a great time and knocked down a lot of pins. We overheard her say to her mother, “This is my best day ever!” CJ and her mother had to leave early to visit her grandparents in Houston, TX. Later that night, CJ’s mother texted us and thanked us for inviting them to Hayden’s party and telling us that CJ continued to say, “This was the best day ever!”
We have an opportunity every week to invite people to a great celebration called worship. When we invite people, we are praying that they will encounter God in Jesus through the Holy Spirit and perhaps even ask Jesus into their heart. Jesus shared about the great celebration that goes on in heaven when one who is lost is found (see Luke 15). When a person receives Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior, this becomes “the best day ever” for him. Are you inviting people to worship or to other events at the church? Why not do it today? This could be the start of “their best day ever!”
