Jesus had been busy during the day casting out demons and healing, and it was late at night. The next morning He got up very early, and the scripture says, “He left the house and went off to a solitary place and He prayed and no one knew where He went.” Did you know that sometimes it is good to get lost? Jesus chose to get lost. Everybody was looking for Him. He chose to be alone praying. He chooses to begin His day in the presence of His Father. Jesus knew that prayer was the channel which opened the flow of God’s power in His life. Getting lost, being intentionally alone, was His time to be replenished by God and was the key to maintaining the connection to the Father. If Virginia and I could wish anything for you, it would be that you get lost everyday with the Father, that you would slow down, stop, listen, and build intentional God time in your day alone, praying. That is how you will be replenished with the power of God and His strength. We believe getting lost everyday for a little bit will save your life. People want to know how they can get to know God better and how they can grow deeper. Our advice is to get lost with God everyday. Jesus got lost and spent time alone with His Father. We should follow His example.
