When I was growing up in the Normandale area of Montgomery, there were some older boys in the neighborhood who would ride down our street riding their bikes with no hands. For someone who was just learning how to ride a bike, I would watch them in awe. They would sit ramrod straight and with a slight shift of their body’s weight to the right or to the left, they would turn the corner and never grab the handlebars. I vowed that one day I would do that, but I never did. I was never able to let go of the handlebars. I was always too scared. I missed the exhilaration that can come from riding a bike with no hands. The older I have gotten, the more I have learned that faith is a journey through life with no hands. Faith is letting go of your fears, and letting God take hold of us. God has so much to show us, but often we miss what God has for us because we are too scared to let go of where we are and to live by faith. I hope you will read all of Hebrews 11. It is a story of men and women who were willing to ride with no hands and to trust God. What do you need to let go of? The only way to give God a chance to bless you is when you are willing to ride through this life with no hands. Trust in God. God is trustworthy. God is faithful. Let go and let God.

I love this!! I road my bike all the time with no hands, even after a concussion!! No fear was me on that bike. God is so good to us! Letting go of my fears only by God’s grace!
