Frazer “went to the dogs” Saturday, June 21 for the 2014 Blessing of the Animals sponsored by the Frazer PAWS Ministry. PAWS, which stands for Pets are Working Saints, helps to train animals for therapeutic use such as visiting nursing homes or hospitals. The “blessing” is founded on the biblical idea in Genesis 1 that all of creation is intended to glorify God through the wise leadership of humankind. The fullness of that blessing will ultimately be restored in the resurrection at the second coming of Christ (see Romans 8), but as Christians we celebrate it in advance today.
