Have you ever been at the end of your rope? Usually we say those words when we are so frustrated and discouraged and exasperated from working so hard on some issue in our life and we just don’t seem to be getting anywhere, nothing ever changes, and it all stays the same. We are at the end of our rope. Sometimes we get to the end of our rope more than once a day. It is just that place where you have done all you know to do, you’ve tried all you know to try, and you are just frustrated and at your wit’s end. Today when you get to the end of your rope, there are two important things to remember. Sometimes the best thing to do is to tie a knot in the end of the rope and just hang on. The second is to remember that God has hold of the other end of the rope, and He is not going to let you go. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Do not be afraid for I am your God. Do not be dismayed for I am with you, I will strengthen you and I will help you and I will hold you up in my victorious right hand.” When you get to the end of your rope, remember God has hold of the other end of the rope. He has hold of you and He is not going to let you go.
