READ: I TIMOTHY 6:17
Thanksgiving is celebration. Don’t you love this word of the Lord, “I have richly provided you with everything for your enjoyment.” God’s heart desire is that we enjoy the gift of the life He has given us. Joy is at the heart of God’s plan for human beings. God delights in life and want us to delight in life too. Life is a gift to be celebrated. But sometimes the older we get, the stuffier, the more serious, and stiffer we get. We fill our days with nursing, cursing, and rehearsing our hurts. Maybe that is because we have seen the darker side of life, and life has beaten us up some. But that is no excuse. Life is still this beautiful, wonderful, incredible gift of God. Instead of filling your days moaning and groaning, why not fill them with laughter, rejoicing, and thanksgiving and meet each day with new enthusiasm for what new wonder God might reveal to you today. Celebrate life. God says, “I have provided you with everything for your enjoyment.” So smile, say thank you, do something fun, help your neighbor, learn something new, ask God to let you participate with Him in bringing a miracle to someone else. Delight in the gift of life.
