Volunteer Involvement
Frazer will begin sending mission teams to minister at the Deaf Camp beginning in 2011. We are committed to send as many teams and people (skilled and non-skilled) as needed. Our projection is to send at least 4 short-term teams in 2011, 12 short-term teams in 2012 and 12 short-term teams in 2013, for a total of 2,400 or more people.
In addition, our goal is to creatively engage support from the prayers, gifts and abilities of all of our members in Montgomery even if they are unable to travel to Haiti.
We hope to have details soon on Sign Languages classes at Frazer that will equip volunteers to better communicate with the Haitian Deaf Community.
This is great! Since the earthquake I have thought that this is a great opportunity to help the people of the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. As of now I am planning on going on at least one of the trips. Jim
